In the past, Akuapem Poloo was known for showcasing extravagant gifts, especially luxury vehicles, on her birthdays. However, on her 34th birthday celebration, she refrained from flaunting any cars as presents, opting instead to receive other gifts such as money and clothes.
Akuapem Poloo attributed her deceptive social media lifestyle to her ignorance and immaturity during her younger years. However, she has now realized the potential harm such a lifestyle can cause to the youth, especially those who admire and seek inspiration from her.
With genuine remorse, she earnestly appealed to her young followers and fans to forgive her and embrace a path of personal growth, just as she has done. Akuapem Poloo also shed light on the prevalence of falsehoods on social media, particularly among celebrities, regarding the receipt of luxurious cars as birthday gifts.
During an interview on Prime Morning with host Roselyn Felli, Akuapem Poloo candidly expressed her concerns, stating, “People even buy cars for themselves and claim they were gifted. It’s crazy, and now the youth are being misled. I have regretted it, and if I have ever misled any young person, I sincerely ask for their forgiveness.”
Recently, the actress faced criticism on social media for a dancing video she posted, which revealed some parts of her body, leading to scrutiny due to her conversion to Islam, a religion that discourages such behaviors. Akuapem Poloo clarified that her intention was to demonstrate the effectiveness of a skincare product she endorses as a brand ambassador, as viewers need to see the product’s impact on her skin.
Looking ahead, Akuapem Poloo shared her plans to have another child but expressed her desire to do so within the bounds of marriage, determined not to repeat past mistakes.
