In a vibrant ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre on June 2, 2022, the Civil Service bestowed the esteemed “Office of Head of Civil Service Award” upon Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South. Dr. Prempeh’s notable achievements include his tenure as the Minister for Education during the first term of the Akufo-Addo administration, where he played a pivotal role in implementing the government’s flagship program, the Free Senior High School Policy. The ceremony also celebrated the accomplishments of other distinguished civil servants, including Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, Chief Director at the Ministry of Energy, who was named the 6th Best Chief Director, and Ms. Fafa Kpodo, Director Legal, who received the Best Director award.
