Ugandan dance sensations, the Ghetto Kids, showcased their exceptional talent but fell short of claiming one of the top three positions in the thrilling finale of Britain’s Got Talent.
Comprising six young dancers between the ages of six and thirteen, hailing from humble backgrounds in Uganda’s lively capital, Kampala, the Ghetto Kids have overcome significant obstacles in their journey. Their guardian-turned-manager, Dauda Kavuma, recognized their potential and provided them with guidance and support.
The Ghetto Kids dazzled audiences and judges alike, earning a spot among the prestigious group of ten finalists. Ultimately, the victory went to Viggo Venn, a hilarious 33-year-old comedian from Norway.
Securing the runner-up position was 13-year-old dancer Lilliana Clifton, while 14-year-old magician Cillian O’Connor claimed third place.
A Look Back
The young prodigies created history when they amazed the judges and earned a resounding “golden buzzer” during the semi-finals. This extraordinary achievement propelled them into the limelight.
But that’s not all! The Ghetto Kids captured the hearts of viewers, garnering the highest number of public votes and securing their rightful place among the final ten contestants.
Even before gracing the renowned UK talent show stage, the Ghetto Kids were rising stars with millions of views on their captivating YouTube channel. In 2017, they had the incredible opportunity to feature in a mesmerizing music video alongside the renowned US-Moroccan rap sensation, French Montana.
Although the Ghetto Kids may not have claimed the ultimate victory, their journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. They have astounded us with their infectious moves and demonstrated that true talent knows no boundaries.
