Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Inter Milan, has expressed that his team is not afraid of facing Manchester City in the Champions League final as they prepare to take on the formidable treble-seeking opponents.

Inzaghi dismissed any notion of fear, stating, “We’re talking about a football match, there’s no fear.” He emphasized that while they hold great respect for Manchester City, they are proud to be in the final and have eagerly anticipated this opportunity.
Inter Milan will need to find a way to neutralize the potent City attack, led by striker Erling Haaland, who has scored 12 goals in Europe this season and is set to top the competition’s scoring charts regardless of the final outcome.
One of Inter’s central defenders, Alessandro Bastoni, expressed his lack of concern about facing Haaland, stating, “You are scared of murderers, not football players. It would be a mistake to talk about fear. It’s not Haaland versus Inter; it’s Manchester City versus Inter.”
Inzaghi revealed that he has not yet decided who will partner Lautaro Martinez in Inter’s attack, considering the choice between veteran Edin Dzeko and in-form Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku has rediscovered his form in recent months, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in his last 11 matches. This impressive form could earn him a starting spot in the final.
Inzaghi acknowledged that he still has some decisions to make regarding the lineup, but he sees it as a positive as a coach to have multiple options to choose from. He stated, “Coaches have doubts right up to the final minute.”
