Emmanuel Yeboah, the forward for the Black Meteors, has expressed his excitement following his remarkable performance that included scoring a brace to help Ghana secure their first victory in the ongoing U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The young sensation delivered a match-winning display, contributing an assist for Ghana’s opening goal and then scoring two vital goals himself in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Congo.
Yeboah, who came off the bench, initially provided a crucial assist for Enerst Nuamah’s goal. However, he didn’t stop there. In the 75th minute, the 20-year-old forward showcased exceptional skill and composure in front of goal, finding the back of the net and doubling Ghana’s lead.
Later, in the 83rd minute, Yeboah expertly converted a penalty, which came after two previous spot kicks were overruled by the referee. This gave Ghana a crucial third goal.
Despite Congo’s spirited comeback bid in stoppage time, scoring two goals, Ghana managed to hold on to their hard-fought 3-2 victory.
Emmanuel Yeboah’s outstanding performance received widespread praise from football fans, including Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan.
Expressing his elation on Twitter, Yeboah wrote, “Words alone can’t express my joy. Thank you, Ghana, my teammates, and the coaches. To my dad @AnimSammy, there are still no words. To Shelles Papa of @youngapostlesfc, and finally to the King @ASAMOAH_GYAN3. Gracias BabyJeeeeet. YES! AGYA NA )W) TUMI. Please keep supporting us.”
Yeboah’s stellar performance and the team’s victory have boosted Ghana’s prospects in the U-23 AFCON, with fans eagerly anticipating more exceptional displays from the young forward.
